Browsing the adverts

If you look at the left hand column on each page of the site, you will find 3 seperate search areas.

  • Advanced Search

This is a deep but flexible search, where you can select from the various options on the drop down lists, allowing you to hone in on adverts of interest to you. clicking on the go button will ask the site to display only those relavent adverts.

If you want to quickly view all the ads in the site, the best way is to simply click on the go button leaving all the options at their defaults

  • Text search

In order to search for key words, this section allows you to type in key words, such as:- horsebox, or bridle.
Firstly, select which options you want from the section and category drop down boxes.

In box titled Search for?. Just type in your Key words phrase. Clicking on the go button, will ask the site to display ads(if any) which contain that phrase or word

Note:- If you just click the go button in the Text Search block, you will get a list of every advert on the site.

  • Advert search

If you have previously visited the site, and have taken a note of a particular advet ID. You can type the adid (advert ID) into the box. Clicking the go button will take you straight to the ad.

Paging through the data

since there are hundreds of ads on the site, more often than not, a search will return multiple pages.? There are two ways to skip through these pages.

  • at the top right of each browse page there are previous and next links, pressing these will take you to the respective page. IF you are on the first page, obviously there will be no previous buttton. Likewise if you are on the lasy page, there will be no next button.
  • At the bottom of the browse page, in the yelly bar, there is a list of the pages returned for your search. Th e current page you are in will be indicated by being enclosed with round brackets (page 2) the others will be enclosed with Square brackets [page 1].
  • Clicking on the appropriate page, will take you to that page.

I hope this helps you a bit
